I'm PREGNANT!
I took an at home test on Thursday night the 9th, i turned it upside down on the bath tube so that we could look at it together at the same time. It was positive, but a little faint. Josh and I just stood in the bathroom wide eyed and full of mixed emotions, which was quickly followed by Josh saying, "you should just take another one in the morning, just to make sure." We hadn't been "trying" so it was some what of a surprise but later we would realize that a surprise was the best thing that could have happened to us.
Friday morning I took another test as soon as I woke up and this time there was no waiting and no turning it over...it was positive, immediately. Again, wide eyed and full of mixed emotions, and trying letting it settle in, Josh suggests I call the doctor to make an appointment, "just to make sure."
I called the doctor to see if i could come in that weekend to be sure and the nurse on the other end of the phone said "honey, if you took two tests and they both said "yes" then you are pregnant." So my first appointment was scheduled for March 5th...so far away.
That weekend we were apart the whole time and it was so overwhelming not being able to really talk about it with Josh or any one else for that matter, but I made it through. After the weekend was over things seemed more bearable being able to talk to Josh and keeping a giant secret was kind of fun. The un-fun part was the all day nausea, but Thank God, no sickness!!
