New Due Date..and more

Our new doctor stated at our first visit with her and then again at the mid-point ultrasound that the baby is set to be due October 10th not October 12th. We obviously all agree that Baby Nowell will come whenever he or she wants, but October 10th is a good starting point.

We had our 20 week ultrasound on our 2nd Anniversary, and it was a wonderful way to start the day off. Not only celebrating our 2 years of marriage but, ringing in the start of our 3rd year, and seeing our little Bean for the 3rd time! Soon we will be a family of 3...well 5 if you count the furry children...it is all so exciting! After the ultrasound I was able to spend my day making Josh dinner and dessert for our evening together. I made homemade Arnold Palmer's for a light liquid appetizer, followed by Mexican inspired chicken stuffed peppers along with all of the fixin's for the main course, and a homemade Strawberry pie for dessert. We topped the night off with some Sparkling Cider in our Wedding flutes, and watched our wedding video! It was delightful!
This Wednesday I will be 22 weeks along! the ultrasound last Tuesday was yet again...amazing. This time getting to see so much more of Baby. Baby's legs are 6 inches long and the rest of the body is about the same...making Baby about a foot long. Crazy! Baby also has 10 fingers and 10 toes! The ultrasound was also able to show Baby's skeletal structure which was awesome but, I'm not going to lie, a little creepy. The heart beat is strong at 143 beats a minute, and already Baby likes to suck on his or her fingers. It was hard for the tech to get a good picture because every photo op, Babe had fingers in the mouth. Super cute. I keep wondering who this wee one is going to be more like...Josh or Me? I assume a good mixture of us both but who knows. I cannot believe we have to wait another almost 5 months to find out!

This weekend was when I declared the baby's first official kicks...the "this is without a doubt the baby, and not gas of some form". Poor Josh, however, cannot feel any of the kicks, and it will probably be a while until he does.
